:: The UK Tourism Season Starts Here! :
Catapult PR is gearing up for another UK tourism season, ready to conduct creative, comprehensive and carefully thought-out PR campaigns on behalf of a number of the country’s most loved tourist attractions

As the February half term signals the re-emergence of some clients after a winter or flood-enforced shut-down, Catapult is already generating PR coverage for attractions within the national and regional press travel sections.

The consultancy has already secured Easter coverage in magazines and has created some concepts that should give even some of the most established visitor attractions a new PR angle with which to attract visitors.

As well as working directly for many attractions, Catapult PR promotes others through the destination-focused PR campaigns that it conducts, ensuring that the destination markets its attractions effectively, for maximum PR value.

The same is true for Festivals and events, with Catapult PR working independently for some and helping the destination attract additional visitors, by making sure all events and Festivals are promoted nation-wide.

The coming weekend will see the re-opening of Lakes Aquarium, near Newby Bridge, following the November floods in Cumbria, as well as the new-look Waterhead Pier at Ambleside, from which Windermere Lake Cruises will be running services once again.

“The season starts here”, says Catapult PR’s Jane Hunt. “From this point onwards, we will be working to promote the various attractions’ news on a weekly basis, as well as ensuring that the natural high points of the season – the special events laid on for celebrations such as Easter, Mother’s Day, May Bank Holiday and Whitsum – are all fully maximised through PR.

“Catapult generated bumper coverage for its attractions clients last Easter, generating 11 national articles for our clients in the run up to the Easter holidays, so this year the consultancy will try to generate even more.”

Catapult is hoping to be working with some new attractions clients in the near future and has retained the contracts of all existing attractions clients for the 2010 season. News of the new clients will be announced soon.
