Catapult Goes Free Range
: |
Catapult PR is set to bring a bit of Romany into the lives of visitors wanting romantic relaxation and some serenity to those seeking solitude as it promotes the new range of experiences at Shacklabank Free Range Walking Holidays, near Sedbergh.
Three Romany caravans are available for romantic breaks that will thrill those wishing to sleep beneath the stars in a meadow, or with a wonderful view of the Howgills available when the canvas is thrown back.
A Romany weekend, incorporating travel to the world-famous Appleby Horse Fair is also on offer for anyone wishing to walk and sit around the campfire with true Travellers.
A brand new treehouse, around which the tealights and lanterns will twinkle by night, in a secluded part of the farm, will also be promoted by Catapult. The consultancy also has a serene shepherd’s hut complete with woodburner, to introduce to national and regional travel writers.
Whilst these comprise basic accommodation, they are ideal for those seeking something different that provides a space in which to reflect and recharge the batteries. Writers, artists and nature lovers will find them a real draw.
The walks offered by free-range walker, Alison O’Neill, will continue to be promoted by Catapult PR, who first launched the free-range experience in 2006. Alison O’Neill has enjoyed extensive national and regional publicity, but is set to light the fire of the travel press once again when news of her barefoot walking breaks.
Wild swimming, wildlife watching and delightful bluebell walks are also available for anyone wishing to step into Alison’s shoes as a hill farmer, shepherdess, breeder of fell ponies and fantastic cook and do some of the back-to-nature things that national TV programmes are profiling.
Catapult PR’s Jane Hunt says: “I am sure the press will adore the new facets available at Shacklabank in 2010 and promoting Alison is always a pleasure. With the divine Cath Kidston static caravans and cosy farmhouse accommodation still on offer, there is a choice to suit everyone, whether they want to find a little peace, live the free-range lifestyle, sing around the campfire with Appleby Travellers, or dance the night away at the Dent Folk Festival. Staying with Alison is not just a walk; it’s also a way of life”.
