Changes At Catapult

Jane Hunt, Catapult PR

The observant site visitor may have noticed that two new pages have been added to the Catapult expertise area, to highlight a new association with Hoot Communications on the tourism marketing side, particularly for visitor attractions.  This will give visitor attractions a full marketing package, from servicescape analysis to exciting and ideas-led PR campaigns.

The other page is the sports page, which is an area that I want to boost massively over the next year.  I need someone to drive this and have a meeting with someone who wants to get involved with freelance work that will boost the projects we can handle within the sports sector.

The third area that will be given a boost is that of marketing to Italian companies wanting to promote themselves in Britain – particularly Italian tourism businesses – hotels, destinations and attractions.  Here, I will be talking to my friend of about seven years, who is a  part-time teacher in Trento, but who has a very impressive thesis in linguistics to his name.  He speaks English better than I do and wants to talk about being the Italian end of Catapult in June.

It is becoming very evident that I may also need someone to help me market the books I am writing, as the production line is well and truly moving on that and the opportunities being presented are just massive.  I am aiming to complete the third book by July and then a sequel to that by February, so that I can take both to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (well hopefully, anyway, if I can get a stand).

There are so many other plans to drive the business – far too many to mention, which means that advisors and associates will be really important over the next year.  Catapult has already been transformed in the last six months, but should really find its wings in the next six, if the right people come on board and help make it happen.

I am also hoping to bring on some exciting project work over the next couple of weeks and to really push a campaign for an existing client to help them achieve their aims.  I may even volunteer to work from their offices to make this happen.

I’ve a few things to sort out with the USA now – Catapult’s also gone very global lately!  Getting used to exciting things happening when America wakes up!
