Two Shortlistings for Hotel’s Tourism PR Campaign

Our small but perfectly formed Lancashire-based PR and content agency, Catapult PR, is currently shortlisted for two coveted Prolific North Marketing Awards 2025. This is for a PR and content marketing campaign conducted for a hotel.

Paragliding Parachutes into Grasmere Sports

Ahead of the 2025 Grasmere Lakeland Sports and Show, which she is promoting as part of her travel PR and tourism PR, Jane Hunt talks to Paul Abbott.  The discussion is all about a brand-new sport that is parachuting into the Grasmere Sports programme in 2025. This is the Grasmere Hike and Fly. It’s a paragliding event that encompasses navigating between waymarks, to land and register a visit and then fly off again, around the course. From there, it’s a race back to the starting point, on the Grasmere Sports showfield.

No Stone Unturned with a Stone-skimming Champion

Jane Hunt, a Lancashire-based PR specialist and managing director of Catapult PR, catches up with Alex Lewis, a Scottish student who also just happens to be a multi-title stone skimming champion, having won titles around the world. Jane first met Alex in 2018, as part of her travel PR and tourism PR promotion at Catapult PR. Having promoted the All-England stone skimming championships for about 10 years, at that point, Alex’s performances on Lake Windermere, in Cumbria, absolutely shone.

The PR for SEO Monday Morning Challenge

This week, Catapult PR is setting its LinkedIn connections a PR-for-SEO Monday morning challenge.  Few will realise that fact, because only a fraction of SME businesses and our typical customers, such as visitor attractions, heritage attractions and hotels, will have even considered PR for SEO.  And we won’t couch it like that, as people would instantly turn off.  We’re going to try to coax them into humouring us and then try to convey why that matters.  Catapult PR is fundamentally going to be asking its contacts to do what many businesses fail to do and actually visit their own website news area.
