Jane Hunt interviews Louise McKenna, Manager of The Rum Story, a visitor attraction located in the West Cumbrian coastal port of Whitehaven, once at the centre of trade in rum and spices and the third largest port in the UK, in its time.

The interview takes us back to the late 18th century, explores the story of rum as told by the attraction and covers topics such as smuggling, naval history and even the American War of Independence!

Jane draws upon her knowledge of this part of Cumbria, acquired through travel PR for the tourism destination of the Western Lake District.
